#1 Find you a REALTOR to represent you!
#2 Get preapproved by a lender
#3 Now that you have been pre-approved you know your price range and the max $$ you are comfortable spending. It's time to start looking at homes that meet your criteria. I know you're thinking, "I know my criteria and exactly what I want", that's great but you will still need sit down with your REALTOR. They will dig deep and ask thought provoking questions. This is called a buyer's consultation. We show homes every day and see what buyer's forget they need or what's important. Let us walk you through it and help you remember. We will put you on an alert in MLS so that as soon as listings come on the market you will know! Feel free to search online as well, just remember when looking online, a lot are not current and may have misleading information. When you are looking and see something that interests you, LET YOUR REALTOR KNOW and he/she will validate that information for you. Don't forget, when looking online and see a FSBO, don't call them! Call your REALTOR and let them handle scheduling appt. Its a lot of fun checking out all the homes on the internet. Your REALTOR will be actively looking for homes that meet your criteria as well. Beware, it's easy to get caught up in the search that you veer from your initial needs and wants. Should this happen your REALTOR will need for you all to meet again and revisit your criteria.
